We did it together.

Thanks to your tenacious commitment over the last six months, human service workers will receive their first raise in five years!

Your tireless advocacy generated unprecedented support for the Salary Reserve in the legislature, building on our progress at each stage in the budget process. And when Governor Deval Patrick dealt us a setback by vetoing half of the funding that you secured, you ramped up your efforts and urged the House and Senate to unanimously override his veto!

None of this would have been possible without your support and willingness to speak out. But this also wouldn't have been possible without our legislative champions and ultimately the support of every representative and senator in the override vote.

Your lawmakers deserve to be thanked -- can you take a minute now to use our easy form and send them a note of appreciation?

Over the past few months, we have sent legislators thousands of messages asking for their support, and they delivered. As we wrap up this budget cycle, they deserve one more important message: a message of thanks.

Thanking legislators is an important way to let them know we pay attention and recognize when they support human services. Please be sure to thank your legislators now and ask for their continued support.
