They’re sending in the tallies today!
Posted by: Kevin B. Gilnack, Campaign Manager
I just called Gov. Deval Patrick's office to voice my support again for the Salary Reserve and ask his constituent services folks if the Gov. Patrick has decided to support the Salary Reserve. Their response:
Governor Patrick has not issued any official statements on whether he will support or veto the Salary Reserve, but we'll be submitting tallies on the number of phone calls and emails we've received on this at the end of the day.
So, if you haven't sent him an email and followed-up with a call (617.725.4005), now is the time!
We've come so far to ensure that low paid human service workers get their first annualized salary increase in five years. Thanks to all of your advocacy, we ensured the Salary Reserve was included in the legislature's budget. Please help make sure that Gov. Patrick stands with us and all human service supporters by signing a budget that includes the Reserve.
Your advocacy has made a huge impact thus far; make sure we reach the finish line by continuing to speak out for a stronger human services system.
Thank you for all that you do. We'll keep you posted as we learn more.
