Valentine’s Day Update: Moving messages—keep them coming!
Posted by: Kevin B. Gilnack, Campaign Manager
UPDATE:
Friends, the outpouring of support that you have shown for the dedicated workers of the human services workforce has been inspiring. In the last few hours, we have had more than 30 people submit a thank you message to human service caregivers and more than 45 people sign our Caring Force Petition in honor of human service workers.
We'll do a full recap for you tomorrow, but I wanted to share some examples of the wonderful words that are being shared. And, don't forget that it's not too late to still wish our dedicated human service caregivers a happy Valentine's Day by submitting your own Thank You Message!
Chris & Alys Q. to Life Skills in Greenfield:
Happy Valentines Day. Thanks for all you do for Laura.
Deborah S. to her colleagues:
Thank you to all human service workers like myself who give daily to provide a warm and caring environment for all of our consumers. Happy Valentines Day.
Vivian P. wants all caregivers to know:
Continue your dedicated work. the World needs you.
John Larivee to his staff at Community Resources for Justice and all human service workers:
On this Valentine's Day I thank you for the compassion and care you provide every day of the year.
David P. at NuPath tells his colleagues:
Thanks to all the amazing people I work with. I watch you all go the extra mile every day.
Jim Cassetta at Work, Inc. wants his staff to know:
A special Valentine thank you to all the many caregivers at WORK Inc. who do something every day to make the lives of the people they serve better. May all the caring and love you bring to your work come back to you ten fold today!
Share a Valentine's Day message with caregivers
This Valentine's Day, honor those at the heart of human services.
The Caring Force is dedicated to promoting our human services professionals and the critical work they perform every day of the year. Caring for the elderly, supporting vulnerable populations and strengthening our communities are truly year-round jobs.
Today, we will be sharing appreciation for caregivers on our blog and on Facebook. As you fill out Valentine's Day cards and celebrate the day with friends, family and loved ones, take a moment to send a message of thanks to caregivers.
Caregivers share their compassion each day, and today The Caring Force wants to illustrate what their work means to all of us. With demanding hours and low pay, caregivers show a level of compassion and care that is simply extraordinary.
Celebrate a specific caregiver in your life, honor a dedicated co-worker, or thank the human services sector as a whole with your Valentine's Day message:

After you've sent your message, make sure to share The Caring Force with your friends and family. Also, we'll re-post our favorite Valentine's Day messages on The Caring Force blog and Facebook page throughout the day, so check back to see if your message was featured.
Happy Valentine's Day!
