Another step closer

I wanted to share some exciting news: the state has set up the process for human service providers to apply for funds to give their staff the first raises they have received in five years!

Thanks to your advocacy, a $20 million annualized Salary Reserve was included in the state's budget, which will provide a long-overdue raise to the dedicated human service workers who care for some of the most vulnerable in our community.

According to the Providers' Council, the state has set up a process for distributing those funds and getting them to the workers who so desperately need them. If you're interested in learning more, please read about it at providers.org.
